Awesome custom gift bags!
WOW! What a great idea and the possibilities for different gift giving times — Christmas, New Year’s, Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Baby Showers, Hostess Gifts …
And the lunch sacks with the ribbon on top to close them — I’m thinking homemade cookies, candies, bath salts, jarred jam, dog biscuits…
I can vouch for the beauty of these bags as I am a recipient of one when I met Stephanie for lunch today and we shared Christmas greetings and gifts from the heart. Super, super pretty and special.

RECIPE FOR STUDDED BLACK CHERRY JELL-O
Is greatness. My grandma made this every Christmas and everyone looked forward to it and there weren’t any leftovers. The OREGON brand of dark sweet cherries is generally available in most grocery markets — you just probably haven’t noticed it before because you didn’t have a recipe that called for it. Now you do! AND – cottage cheese with Jell-O? Yep! They’re a perfect match here.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We count you, Readers, as one of our special gifts. Thank you for your time + comments + support.
Ready. Set. Here we go!

CHIC ON THE CHEAP
Merry Christmas!
I am sharing today a very easy way to make your own custom Christmas gift bags by recycling your Christmas cards.
Simply cut the front cover of the card off and glue it to the front of a gift bag. They look great with just the cut-out card and matching tissue paper. And you can embellish them a little more.
PIC #1
I made a couple of gift bags myself and added a gold, glittery star ornament to the bottom corner of the bag and then I glued a flower sticker in the middle of the star that matched the card.
After I made the bag, I thought, Why limit this idea to just Christmas cards?
So I made another gift bag with a generic card that has butterflies on it. The inside of the card had another butterfly in the corner which I cut out and glued on the gift tag.
((I also made a 3rd bag using a Birthday card which is really cute — but it’s not in the picture — but you get the idea, right?))
PICS #2 & #3
Pictures of bags and gift tags that other people made I found on-line.
PIC #4
I like the clever idea of using lunch bags. Very cute the way they used a hole punch to punch holes in the top and then ran a ribbon through the holes to hold the bag closed.
I’m going to save my Christmas cards this year to make bags next year. Sadly, I don’t get as many Christmas cards as I used to … so I’m going to wait until after Christmas when cards go on sale and buy a box to save until next year for my custom gift bags.
I’m also going to look for some small Christmas balls and ribbon so I can hang little balls from the handles!
People love anything made-by-hand and heart and cute, custom made bags will be saved and reused for years to come!
A pair of scissors, a recycled card and a little Elmer’s glue is all it takes! FUN + QUICK + EASY!
Happy and safe holidays to all!

Daymaker Stephanie. I have everything you suggested for my final Christmas gift wrapping. Now i don’t have to run to the store to fetch my year around wrapping paper or engage in “The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.” Merry Christmas everyone.
The bags are indeed beautiful and special. Thanks for sharing.
