LASAGNA SOUP

LASAGNA SOUP + BEST GARLIC BREAD RECIPE, APPLE RECIPES – IT’S APPLE SEASON! KIDS ON A MISSION AND MEET 2 GREETER LABRADORS

Greetings Monday –
Good day to start a great week!

How was your weekend?

Wonderful here.
Did a little fall cleaning projects outside and then did a few little tasks inside.
Good vibes inside and out.

Excited to share the collection of coolness I found!

BEGINNING WITH:

ELEPHANT SLIDES
Wow – as a kid (actually even as an adult) I’d love to slide down one of these giant art pieces!
Or just see one up close and personal.  So very creative and full ear to ear grin at first glance.

10 DECORATING TIPS
I’m always open for and seek pretty tips for my living space.

DOGS BECOME SERVICE ANIMALS
Eric and Flo do the meet-and-greet at a 900 year old Abbey.
Love it!  Wish I lived nearby – I’d totally go to meet Eric and Flo and experience the magnificent 900 year old Abbey.

CHARTS AND GUIDES
Are most informative and memorable.
I especially found the how often to launder particular pieces of clothing of interest.
That – and how long discarded “garbage” takes to decompose.

HONING STEEL
I had no idea the importance of this tool.
Now I do.

  • RECIPES:
    LASAGNA SOUP
    Yes, please!
I love lasagna (as do most of us) but what I really love is the easy-peasy lasagna in a bowl.
    Bite after bite.
    I’m so IN!
    HOUSE FAVORITE GARLIC BREAD
    YUMMY!
I’m thinking a perfect side-kick to Lasagna soup or any other soup that sparks our fancy with the upcoming cooler temps.
    PIZZA PEPPER POPPERS
Not the ordinary poppers we all know.
Very innovative twist and no doubt will be a company pleaser on game-day get-togethers or whatever get-togethers all fall and winter long.
CELERY and GREEN APPLE SALAD + DILL
    Sounds absolutely TDF!
And who knew about peeling celery – like lickety-split to make it even better, better, better?
I didn’t.  But I will do this little lickety-split tip from here on out.
Tiny bit of time = tasty results.
    BAKED APPLES WITH OAT CRUMBLE
Is totally on my MAKE ASAP list.
    Breakfast?
    Yes.
    Lunch?
    Totally!
    Midnight snack attack?
    High five and thumbs up!
    APPLE FRITTER COOKIES
Yep, we read that correctly – Cookies.
Too intriguing not to make and share.

STEVE HARVEY’S TOP 3 INTERVIEWS WITH KIDS
All 3 kids are amazing and deserve a round of applause for sure!
*Clap-Clap* you little dyna-mos!
I think my favorite take-away was little Arianna singing her Butterfly song she wrote for her mom.
Beautiful and full of tender heart and love.

LEARNING IN LIFE

After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul

And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning

And company doesn’t mean security

And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts

And presents aren’t promises

And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child

And you learn to build your roads on today
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for your plans

After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you have too much

So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers

And you will learn that you really can endure

That you really are special

And that you really do have worth

So live to learn and know yourself

In doing so, you will learn to live.

Love the artistic elephant slides! And, yes, as an adult I still would love to climb to the top and slide!!!

Thank you Daymaker for “How to Use a Honing Steel (Step-by-Step Instructions).”

My Mom left me her honing steel sharpener that I watched her sharpen her long knives on all of my life. However, she was skilled like a chef, because she qualified as one, and would hold the honing steel in her left hand and her long slicing knife in the other hand and away she would go sharpening knives to perfection.

Well, not me, I always thought there goes my wrist if I did such a thing.

Here comes my update: I have just pulled my mom’s Honing Steel out of my miscellaneous drawer. It measures 15″ long. I can hardly wait to have a sharp knife in the house again. And oh yes, I will follow the directions to perfection. Thanks Daymaker for the research.
