Wednesday Reader April 3

WEDNESDAY READER | APRIL 3

Hello Hola Bonjour Daymakers! Presenting Wednesday's  Reader on this 3rd day of April.  How's April rolling in for you?  Good here.  We had some heavy April showers yesterday which my trees and grass (and weeds - ha) were grateful for = me, too. Cool + fun + interesting line up today. Beginning with: LESLIE ELMAN'S POP QUIZ I had to refer to good ol' Google for the pronunciation of the word Qaanaaq in question #1 because I'd never seen the word before and it totally intrigued me.  Here's how it's pronounced if you, too, are intrigued *click* QUICK QUESTION What's the most monotonous sport to watch for me?  BOWLING! And Golf follows at a very close 2nd and then Tennis absolutely is #3.  All fun to play/do -- but being a spectator is a different ball game sort of thing.  You? LAYMAN'S LANGUAGE COLLECTION OF 10 Is spot on.  I am especially fond of #6  "... it's just a bend, not the end."

Hello awesome readers! Super chilly here -- as in 13 degrees. brrrrrrr! Supposedly it's gonna be warmer in about 3 days - that's the good news.  Especially for everyone's energy bill! Super great finds to share with you today beginning with: THINGS THAT ARE SURPRISINGLY LARGER THAN YOU MAY HAVE THOUGHT All were fascinating to me, however my 2 favorite take aways were Michelangelo's "David" statue and the the blade - just one blade - of a wind turbine.  WOW! 6 SLEEPING HABITS OF ANIMALS WE ALL KNOW BUT DIDN'T KNOW Otters and Orangutans win the cuteness award for me.

Monday greetings, friends -- Fantastic treasure finds to share today! NATURE TIMELAPSE FREEZING Is mesmerizing.  I especially love the snow flakes.  It's true; no 2 are the same.  Wow! GAME ON TONIGHT Washington Huskies vs Michigan Wolverines.  This short clip of 2 highschool teammates who played on opposing college teams is so full of sincere, wonderful love and heart. EVOLUTION OF SKYSCRAPERS I love rolling into a city and seeing the skyscrapers (especially at night).  AWE-MAZING. Mind bender for me wondering how do these beauties go from thought - to drawing board - and the craftsmen who actually do the "hands on" construction.  Crazy cool! RECIPES Spice Cake with Chocolate Butter Icing Totally makes sense, but I really never thought of the 2 together.  Genius! Tuna Noodle Casserole I've always been a die hard fan of tuna noodle casserole, (although I don't make it that often) - but when I do - it's a roll down childhood memory lane.  But THIS recipe!!  OMG

It's Monday and today finds me well + happy. Our weekend weather was my idea of perfect-o.  My cats were totally feeling it too.  Zooming around kicking up their heels - running, chasing, playing.  Made me laugh! Not sure if you've noticed or not - but we've been doing some "re-decorating" sort of thing on Daymaker Readable Art site: The ads that were a total distraction and annoying are gone! Share buttons! New artwork that finds you in the email box on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.  Subscribe and see it!  We'll be changing it out from time to time for a fresh and new cool piece of artwork in the email greetings. Clean-up of typos and little glitches that existed. Friendlier navigation throughout the site. Subscribe and Comments are no longer compromised.  (Fingers crossed you don't hit a hiccup - if ya do - let us know and we'll get it taken care of ASAP.)  We're not finished yet - just wanted to share PROGRESS in the works. The line-up of wonderfuls to click-on and check-out today are entertaining, inspiring and delicious-waiting-to-be-made!
