WEDNESDAY READER | MARCH 27
Hello Daymakers!
Super fun read today beginning with:
LESLIE ELMAN'S POP QUIZ AND FASCINATING FACTS
So intriguing learning from her facts and trivia. More fun than watching an episode of Jeopardy.
QUICK QUESTION
Can I fold a fitted sheet by myself? Not so far. But I still give it a shot every time I pull one out of the dryer. And when it doesn't fold properly (i.e. - I fail) -- I just kinda-sorta fold it or roll it up and place it in the linen closet and call it good. Do any of you have a tried and true method? I'd LOVE to know it!
18 APHORISMS
Are So.Very.Relatable. and a chuckle.
INSTANT KARMA
Love this idea of writing down or mentally assessing my 5's each evening around bedtime. Pretty sure it will encourage me to find the 5s every day.
CREAMY POTATO-GRUYERE GRATIN
Is an absolute blue ribbon winner recipe. Without a doubt my favorite potato gratin recipe EVER. It was Peter's, too. I pretty much only prepare it on special occasions (like holidays or birthdays) which makes it all the more special. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this recipe - it's FAN-TAS-TIC!
TOP OF THE MORNING | NOVEMBER 13
Salutations Readers and hello Monday - brand new start of a week.
Hope you had just the kind of weekend you were looking for. Did you do anything special for Veterans Day?
I installed a flag holder and was able to put out the American flag that's been around here for quite a few years. Lost the old flag holder with the fence when an ice storm took it down a year + ago. Feels great | Looks great to have it flying in honor of this very important holiday over the weekend.
To those who served, are serving and to those who are no longer with us -- "Thank you for your service." Salute.
Collected this Baker's Dozen + 1 of super awesomes for today.
WEDNESDAY READER
Greetings! Welcome to July 26th Wednesday Reader.
The beautiful, cool art illustrations are circus themed today. "Greatest Show on Earth" - Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey posters and a few others that are similar and super fun.
Do Circus' still exist anymore?
WEDNESDAY READER | JUNE 21
Howdy All -
Well, it's calendar official - June 21 - SUMMER'S ON!
It's already felt like summer has arrived - but now we know it's official.
I'm still trying to figure out my best answer for Quick Question - "What's the weirdest thing about modern life people accept as normal?" Do you have one that zooms at you?
5 for FRIDAY | APRIL 28
Hey! Hey!
Well, last Friday of April has arrived + the last weekend of April.
Monday is May 1st.
Does anyone remember (as a kid) picking some wild flowers or gathering *cough* neighbors' garden flowers and placing the tiny bundle on a front porch - ringing the bell - and running?!
For a May Day surprise? I raise my hand.
We totally did it as kids. Cool memory.
