STACY’S WORLD
FUN WITH FASHION
Hello Friends – let’s talk fashion!
I don’t follow trends in fashion unless I happen to like what I see.
I happen to really, really, really like what the fashion influencers are into right now.
The trending color this season is PINK:
Pale PINK, Hot PINK, Pepto Bismol PINK — any shade of PINK.
I have not worn pink in a long time. I do still have a hot pink spaghetti strap cami-style top somewhere in the back of my closet from Back in the Day.
I love the color and I am seeing it everywhere! I may have to invest in a few more pieces of pink clothing.
PIC 1
Is a pair of light-weight fabric wide leg pants. So cool and comfy! It’s like wearing lounge wear!
PIC 2
Is a pair of baggy wide leg barrel boyfriend cropped jeans. So cute and funky. Tight in the waist, barreled out wide legs then tapered at the ankle. I have never seen this particular cut in jeans and I like it!
PIC 3
Is the number one trending style on Pinterest!
Cargo Pants!
The most popular color in this pant is tan and green. They are popular in any cut — wide leg, skinny leg, parachute cut (which hugs the ankles).
Pics #1, #2, #3, you can find on Amazon.
PIC 4
My score finds from Ross and Target!
I so remember my first pair of cargo pants. I was walking through the mall and spotted these bright yellow cargo pants with a skinny patent leather turquoise and yellow belt at Margo’s La Mode.
Anyone remember that store?
Margo’s La Mode was a high end, expensive store at that time.
I was a senior in high school with a minimum wage, part-time job so Margo’s prices were way out of my baby budget.
I could not stop staring at these pants. I had never seen anything like them. I thought to myself, I know I can’t afford these but I want to try them on anyway.
Big Mistake …
Once I had them on, I had to have them. I looked at the price tag.
Big Gulp …
I thought layaway. Pay half now and half next paycheck.
But — no.no.no – I wanted them NOW!
I hesitantly took them to the register and shakily pulled out my checkbook. I think I had like 49 cents left in my account after I paid for these pants.
But I was now the proud owner of my Cargo’s from Margo’s.
No regrets about that purchase. I wore those cargo pants out — literally.
About a week ago I had a few hours to kill one afternoon and my inspiration trend pieces came in mind that I wanted to add to my summer wardrobe.
So off to Ross I go. Ross is only 5 minutes from my house and if you can find what you’re looking for, you will be getting it at a great price!
I found the perfect Cargo Pants right away. I love the stretchy wide fabric waist. It is very soft and very stretchy with a drawstring if you want to make them tighter.
Love the extra stitching around the pockets and the parachute style gathered fabric around the ankle.
The pants are made by Calvin Klein. The price tag – $62.50.
Ross’ price was $14.99.
I also found the light weight wide legged pants which also has a very wide, very stretchy waist band.
These pants were only $12.99.
Ross did not have the barrel leg jeans but,
Hey, 2 outta 3 ain’t bad. And I still have over an hour to kill to look somewhere else.
Hmmm – where to go that’s close.
Ding. Ding. Ding.
Target has a great selection of jeans and I can be there in about 15 minutes. As soon as I walk in I spot the barrel leg jeans front and center on a mannequin. I quickly start shuffling through the clothes rack … please have my size.
BINGO – there they are!
I pulled them out and looked at them and thought these must be missized because they looked HUGE!
I went and tried them on and they fit perfect. It is the barrel leg that makes them look so huge on the hanger.
They are very baggy in the leg so I will definitely wear a fitted top with these jeans.
Hey, maybe I will dig out and dust off that HOT PINK cami from the back of my closet and pair with these jeans.
BTW …
The jeans were $39.99.
So, I found all 3 items for $75.00.
SCORE! My lucky day!
I should go buy a lottery ticket!

QUICK QUESTION
WHICH DO YOU PREFER?
THE SMELL OF FRESH CUT GRASS
OR BREAD BAKING IN THE OVEN?
NO SISSY NONSENSE
Are you tired of those sissy ‘friendship’ poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.
You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this card. Just the stone cold truth about friendship
- When you are sad — I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry soul who made you sad.
- When you are blue — I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
- When you smile — I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
- When you are scared — I will tease you about it every chance I get afterwards.
- When you are worried — I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you stop whining.
- When you are confused — I will use little words.
- When you are sick — Stay away from me until you are well again. I don’t want whatever you have.
- When you fall — I will point and laugh at your clumsy footsteps.
- This is my oath … I pledge it to the end …
Why? You may ask.
Because you are my friend, I will answer.
Remember:
A friend will help you move.
A really good friend will help you move a body.
JOKE ONLY – of course!

CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD
All the elements of a good salad are here — crunchy, cold, hot, sweet, and sour. But it’s the addictive dressing that’ll keep you coming back.

FOR THE TOPPINGS:

No Sissy Nonsense Hahaha 😊
The cargos are back lol blast from the past❤️ Love the No sissy friend 💕💕
I’ve always been partial to pink – from very pale to rose – and am delighted that it will be easy to find this season. Let’s see. Where to start. . .
Preferred smell? Well, when I smell fresh cut grass – it’s grass, hands down. But when fresh bread is baking in the oven and its fragrance is wafting deliciously through the house, bread wins!
Love Garrison Keillor’s wisdom. It kind of reminds me of something I recently heard. A young lady with Audrey Hepburn short bangs and very funky glasses was complimented by her coworkers on her new look. Her comment: I try to be FABulous! Love it!
Love DayMaker! Happy weekend.
Yes, Carol, pretty in pink!
I do like a few pink pieces. And like you – the very pale shade of pink.
Thanks so much for your thoughts, love and support.
It’s always fun hanging out with Carol and Stacy’s
World + their comments.
Stacy, where are the peddle pushers?
Sitting around in my peddle pushers with today’s Daymaker Chicken Salad is about as good as it could get.
Question: WHICH DO YOU PREFER? THE SMELL OF FRESH CUT GRASS OR BREAD BAKING IN THE OVEN?
You can’t beat spring time’s freshly mowed grass, however other than spring it’s my Mom’s homemade bread baking. Bring on the butter.
Hi Marty! I love and wear my peddle pushers too!!!
