Parsley in a planter. Very cool. Could also be basil or rosemary. Or a combo of several!

My personal favorite – donkey pulling a little cart …
A super cool concrete thing (meaning super heavy) that I found at garden store going out of business a few years ago. I got this beauty for $15. Believe it or not. Truth.
Be on the look out for something cool and extraordinary around your neck of the woods. They’re out there! Just gotta be on the look out!
My answer for nicknames of people I have in my life: my sister, Jennie, is Jen, My sister, Lisa, is Lea, my son, Hunter, is Hunter Bear, My mom is, Mama, my friend, Dixie, is Dix. And my family and super close friends call me – Cher.
What are nicknames for people close to you?

As always – we so appreciate your time and giving us a piece of your day on this Friday. Grateful.
Have a great weekend!

DEAR ANNIE
BY ANNIE LANE
Dear Annie:
This is in response to your column about the 88-year-old mother whose daughter didn’t feel it was safe for her to drive. Please let people know that if they feel a person is an unsafe driver, they can report them to the DMV anonymously. The DMV will call them in for a driver’s license test.
I wish we had known that a possibility. After various mishaps, we had asked my stepfather not to drive. Unfortunately, one day he decided he wanted to get behind the wheel. One person was killed instantly (my mother). Thank goodness the family in the car he pulled out in front of were only injured and all recovered.
If the 88-year-old mother frequently falls, she should not be behind the wheel of a car. Not only for the safety of herself and her son, but the safety of others on the road. ~ Mindful Motorist
Dear Mindful Motorist:
Thank you for this tip. It might help keep our roads safer.

My first thought when I saw your potato salad recipe was I bet it would be terrific with your Four Amigos crock pot brisket. You bet I will try it! And nicknames for people: friend Lisa is Lis, youngest brother John is Poco Juan, neighbor Jeff is Jeffro, niece Emily is Emmy, niece Katelyn is Kates. And people call me Booklady 😉 Happy weekend!!!
Spot on, Carol!
I agree the potato salad would be delish with the Four Amigos brisket.
Love the nicknames! So endearing and so fun with our “inner circle” family and friends for sure.
Booklady! Appropriate!
Have a great day. Grateful.
Hey Cher! Love the donkey planter! You and Dix behave this weekend lol!
Hi Stac –
Donkey planter is absolutely one of my prize pieces of collection.
Scouts honor on behaving.
Thanks for reading + commenting + being a Daymaker!
Thanks for your comments on nicknames. It caused me to think of the nicknames I called my husband. Let’s call it nicknames of fondness. One of those nicknames slipped out of my mouth in front of my mom one day! She burst forth in roaring laughter. It’s one of those memories of my mom that I wouldn’t trade for a million dollars. Yep, it’s a Daymaker!
That’s hilarious, Marty!
Love it!
And love that Nicknames brought back fond memories.
Thanks so much for reading + commenting + sharing. Grateful.
