HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE SYRUP

March 3rd greetings friends!

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday (aka the official last day of the Carnival celebration).

Having spent time in Louisiana — I know one thing — locals are loyal to Mardi Gras.  I think it’s called tradition.  Whether it’s parades, beads, music, happiness, food or just hanging out.
I honor their honor.

GRILLED PINEAPPLE SALSA

Hello Friday, hello friends and hello last day of February —

Hard to believe February is done for the year as of today.  Time seriously does feel as though it flies.

Presenting 5 for Friday.
Laughs + a valuable reminder from Dale Carnegie + a little story about the origins of Cirque Du Soleil + a superior grilled pineapple salsa recipe.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

Happy Friday outstanding readers!

The best thing about Fridays is that they come around once a week.
That’s right!  Fridays always come back around once a week (same as Mondays).
But who cares about Monday right now?
It’s Friday!

Creamy Baked Chicken Breasts

Wednesday greetings wonderful friends!

Can hardly believe that in just a little over a week February will be in the rear view mirror until next year.

However, February’s not leaving without a couple of chilly memories.  Icy “rain” and way below freezing temps have landed for the next couple of days (or so the weather app reads).  Which equals slip and slide on walkways and roadways.

I’m prepared and gonna enjoy a little hunkering down time and go no place.

My agenda includes making some homemade chicken noodle soup and Broccoli cheddar potato soup (ya know, options – ha) today.

Crossing my fingers, eyes and toes that the power grid or whatever it’s called holds and we don’t lose power for any length of time.  Texas has not always been known to combat frigid temps and people popping up their thermostats so it does an overload thing.

Presenting today’s Wednesday Reader for enjoyment!

BURGERS DIANE

Valentine’s Day greetings friends!

Whether you’re spending today with your heart-beat or cherishing memories of time spent with a Valentine who no longer walks beside ya and, perhaps, enjoying a bite or two from a fancy box of chocolates – – even if it’s the little 4 in a box of chocolates – ha

It’s Valentine’s Day.
Love language rules today!

MINI PIMENTO CHEESE BALLS

Hello friends,
Good Monday to you!

Yep, Groundhog day is yesterday’s news – but couldn’t help myself.
The cool illustration art is just too much happy to let it go for another year because it happened yesterday.

Well, as it turns out (according to my tiny Google search) Punxsutawney Phil – ya know the famous groundhog that predicts whether our weather will be 6  more weeks of winter or not.
