Welcome to the world baby boy.
“Emery Wayne, as I personally know your G and G B quite well – life is gonna be a cool, happy place full of love, laughter and adventure.”

Had a lot of fun collecting these goodies to share with all today!

Celebrating Friendship And Cooking

Friday greetings!

How’s your week been?
Chill or not-so-chill?

Did ya do any tiny projects around your space/place that’s been calling out for attention?

Super cool read today!

BEGINNING WITH:

STACY’S WORLD
Indeed – Stacy, Carol and I had a memorable lunch celebrating Carol’s birthday at this outstanding local Mexican restaurant.  Who can believe we have such an upscale restaurant right here in our little ol’ town that is absolutely blowing up with new homes and new neighbors moving in — fast!
The food was mouthwatering greatness –  however, the laughter, conversation and love outshined the food.

And, yes, I too am a recipient of numerous pieces of Carol’s talented, original watercolor artwork:
Birthday greetings, Easter hello, Thanksgiving greetings, Christmas Wishes and thank-you notes.
And, yes, all are framed or displayed, carefully positioned, around my home.
All bring beauty, love and joy.

Hat tip to ya, Carol, and thank you.

I don’t know about you, but Stacy’s find of the corn on the cob recipe cooked with the jalapenos and honey has my full attention!
Same, bacon wrapped chicken recipe via an old school family recipe!
Both –  Totally on my make it ASAP list!

Stacy never fails us with her innovative ideas and finds.
Thank ya, Stac!
Lucky us!

HOW ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL MERMAID ART/ILLUSTRATIONS
I could look at them time after time and never tire of the intricate details + colors + lines and designs.

LESLIE ELMAN’S POP QUIZ AND FASCINATING FACTS
Leslie never disappoints!
Think it’s hard to pronounce Chargoggagoggmanchauggoggchaubunagungamaugg.  Try typing it just once with no errors.  I can’t tell ya how many times I had to look – check spelling – retype – check spelling – retype. I consider myself a pretty good typist — but this word absolutely kicked my rear end.  Ha

QUICK QUESTION
Do I sing in the shower?
No, I do not.
I get in, wash my hair, body and get out.  It’s all cleaning business.  haha
I do, however,  sing in the car when a favorite song comes on the radio, turn up the volume and belt it out like I’m a rock star.
Makes me happy!  You?

PICNIC STUFFED CHICKEN BREASTS RECIPE
Is totally a winner-winner-chicken-picnic-dinner.

TESTING OUR EYESIGHT

I failed the test miserably.
However, after the reveal — I saw all of them.

My least favorite chore is hands down laundry.  I don’t mind the whole washing and drying thing — just the folding part.
Must be something in my way back in the time machine that makes me feel stubborn about it.  ha!  You?

HOW TO CLEAN BIRKENSTOCKS TO LOOK BRAND NEW, AMAZING ANIMAL FACTS – HILARIOUS AND AWE-MAZING – EGGS IN MOVIES MONTAGE,

Hello Monday –
We greet you with open arms and a happy smile for the coming week!

Super fun collection of interestings to share today.

BEGINNING WITH:

AMAZING ANIMAL FACTS THAT WILL LIKELY BLOW YOUR “WOW” FACTOR AWAY:
My 3 favorite take-aways are:

A blue whale weighs as much as 3 elephants and is as long as 3 Greyhound buses. What?!
Elephants have a specific alarm regarding humans are near. WOW!
Dogs’ senses of smell is about 100,000 times stronger than humans. However, they only have 1/6 of our taste buds. No wonder they’re cool with the bagged dog food. Ha!

HOW TO CLEAN BIRKENSTOCKS TO LOOK BRAND NEW
As a proud owner and wearer of about 10 pair of Birkenstock (different colors and styles) sandals – this cleaning them article has my full attention. I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks for more than *cough* 35 years. If you don’t have a pair. Might wanna check them out. They’re fantastic!

12 BEST FRUIT AND CHEESE PAIRINGS
I don’t have a favorite take-away. All the dynamic duos make pairing sense!

ZOO SIGNS ARE CLEVER = LAUGHTER!

TOP 20 ANIMALS PEOPLE WANNA SEE IN THE WILD
Hands down agree.
… as long as I view them from a distance in the wild and in a secure safari-type vehicle. Ha

RECIPES!
ZUCCHINI HOUDINI BOATS – thumbs up!
Another creative recipe to enjoy the zucchini bounty of summertime!
CHICKEN KA-BOBS
Grilled summertime dinner on a stick.
PARSLEY PESTO – would’ve never thought about parsley pesto, but I trust any and all recipes Shutterbean brings to the “table” – and the numerous examples of how she serves it!
Call me the leader of the parsley/pesto fan club around here!
GREEK STYLE SHRIMP SAGANAKI
Totally has my curious ready to make the dish this week or next week at the latest.
Easy to prepare +over 600 5 star reviews.
Uhhhhhh – ‘nough said!
WATERMELON SMOOTHIE
Doesn’t sound all that unusual of a blender-whirl – save the part where the watermelon chunks are frozen first (!) + add strawberries.
That’s the secret to success!
HORCHATA
Oh, how I love you Horchata!!
Morning time, noon time, mid-afternoon pick me up time, Dessert time.
Sip by sip you’re bliss.
And now – thanks to this recipe, I (we) can make you conveniently at home!

FASHION + COMFORT FOOTWEAR = WEDGES, BLT CHICKEN WITH LIME MAYONNAISE RECIPE, QUEEN, THE BLIND HORSE

HOLA!
GREETINGS!
BONJOUR!

Happy first Friday of August 2024.

July came and went like in a super flash to me.
You?

Super fun line-up today to kick-start the weekend.

BEGINNING WITH:

STACY’S WORLD
I’m loving these elevated sandals.
Stacy was wearing a pair when she treated me to my birthday lunch last week.
I noticed them immediately.  They were classy, cool, pretty.
And today Stacy’s sharing the inside scoop of how we can all find them – or at least try – to to score a pair or two.
Thanks, Stac, for keeping is in the fashion-cool know!

QUICK QUESTION
What do I think is something that will always be in fashion no matter how much time passes?
My Answer – favorite pair of worn and loved cowboy boots!
However, after reading Stacy’s column – there are 2 for me now – boots and wedge Clarks sandals!

QUEEN, THE BLIND HORSE
Story is full of heart and love.

LOADED AVOCADO TOAST, TRACY BECKERMAN’S HUMOR COLUMN ON SPAM MAIL, HEART STORY OF BILLY’S MISSION, FAVORITE DOG NAMES

Last day of July greetings all!  Hard to believe but ’tis true.

Great read today.

BEGINNING WITH:

LESLIE ELMAN’S POP QUIZ + FASCINATING FACTS
I sure didn’t know, but now I (we) do.

QUICK QUESTION
3 favorite dog names.
I’m thinking most unusual/memorable I’ve come across:
Stanley, who worked with us at Hippie Cowboy, had a pit bull named “Convict.”
One of the Grips we worked with on “Breaking Bad” had a rescue dog named “Chicken”.
A delightful wiggle-tail happy, well-behaved pal of everyone on Set.  And there was nothing chicken about him.
And Peter’s beloved childhood dog went by the name “Shorty.”
I have a pic of Shorty that Peter treasured.  Shorty was adorably not adorably attractive.  HA!
Looking at the pic anyone can spot the sparkle of mischief/character/personality in his eyes + the stories Peter loved to tell.
You?

BILLY’S MISSION STORY
Is a heart stealer – grab a kleenex.
Once you read it — likely — won’t forget it.
Beautiful.

ASSEMBLING LOADED AVOCADO TOAST

Giant Sand Beach Art Sculptures

Monday’s back!
Last Monday of July 2024.

Hope all had a great weekend.  I sure did.

As many of you know, Friday was my birthday.

Stacy treated me to an extraordinary lunch at a very upscale Mexican restaurant + brought a bag of cool gifts!  We’re talking body spray, scarf to wrap on my bag, a super cool market bag that looks like an old school brown paper bag – but not,  candles …
We hung out and enjoyed each other’s company and Cervezas for several hours and found laughter – lots of it.

And then Carol and Toby rolled up in their Rolls Royce bearing gifts – a beautiful bouquet of flowers – colors of lime green, lavender, peach and white in a keepsake tea cup + Carol’s one-of-a-kind piece of watercolor art birthday card featuring a lineup of cowboy boots (I will be framing this card and find a perfect spot for it) + a fabulous, decorative recipe box that I will put the best of the best recipes in it.

My mom and sisters gifted me the cutest skirt EVER from Title Nine.
Pretty sure I’ll be sporting that skirt for the rest of the summer and probably into fall.

AND!!
So many texts + calls from friends and family (songs) wishing me a happy birthday.
I love and adore you all.

I am so spoiled!
Feel like royalty.

Thank you Stacy, Carol and Toby, and Beautiful Friends and Family for your giant love remembering my day.
Bet Mick Jagger didn’t have such a grand day as I!

Yep, it’s warm (some whine –  hot) around these parts.
Same as I’m guessing around your neck of the woods.  Ha!

It’s the end of July about to be August.
It’s a given that the thermometer and outside the door temperatures let us know it’s just that time of year.
Just like this time last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and …
Zero chance it’ll be sweatshirt weather next week – not so fast – but coming soon.

Collected these FASCINATINGS to share today!

CHICKEN CHILE PHILLY ROLL UPS, ZEN SARCASMS, LAUGH OUT LOUD CARTOONS, CHARLES KURALT WISDOM QUOTE

GREETINGS!
Happy Friday!

Did ya know that today is Mick Jagger’s birthday?
According to Google — he turns 81 today.  And he and the Rolling Stones are still touring!
Talk about a dude who just keeps moving and shaking and doing his deal!
Mick’s not thinking about the number 81!
I like his birthday number thinking style!

AND!  It’s also my birthday.
I always thought it kinda cool that Mick and I share the same birthdate.
Who do you share with your birthdate?

Birthday singing will roll in via calls from my family.
As they say, “It’s a family tradition.”  HA
My Grandpa and Grandma started it a very long time ago and it continues!
And believe me — we all look forward to the calls on our day and hearing the Happy Birthday songs.

STUFFED BAKED POTATOES WITH ZUCCHINI, JERRY CLOWER, RIDDLE, CARTOON HUMOR

Wednesday greetings!

Geesh!  Crazy that it’s already July 24.
Can’t believe how fast the weeks and months zoom by.
The *older* it seems time rolls past me in the fast lane.

Presenting Wednesday Reader for beauty and entertainment!

BEGINNING WITH

What is the most random fact I know?
I’m still thinking on that one.  You?

JERRY CLOWER
This particular piece is from 1992.
It’s 2024.
Spot on then and spot on now!
Really cool.
