Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake
Good Morning, friends!
Let’s show Monday who’s boss!
How was your weekend?
Anything stand out?
I’m happy to report that all around here was an ordinary weekend – which always makes me feel like it was an extraordinary weekend because all went well with no drama.
I did, however, have a beautiful happening that took place yesterday – which I won’t share all the details today.
What I will tell is that it was a God’s peek-a-boo-moment.
Those who participated know.
And I am grateful.
Was a huge reminder to me to keep my mind open for peek-a-boo moments – they exist and they’re real.
PRESENTING THE FINDS I COLLECTED TO SHARE TODAY –
BEGINNING WITH:
THE SEASONING THAT TAKES KETCHUP TO THE NEXT LEVEL
I’m in – might sound too good to be true, but I tried it and it’s finger licking good and good to the last bite on everything you’d put ordinary ketchup on!

OUR WORLD IS SO WONDER-FILLED
Times people took photos so mesmerizing they had to prove they were real.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON IS READY TO FIND US AGAIN!
Here’s a little behind the scenes read about the iconic cookies
What’s your favorite cookie?
Mine is and forever will be Thin Mints.
I keep my box of Thin Mints in the freezer instead of the pantry.
Extra delicious as a couple of little frosty bites – one-by-one!

CHICK PEAS AND DUMPLINGSWhat an interesting, delicious concept all ladled into a bowl of greatness.
Me, being a chick pea fan, I have absolutely no problem-o replacing chick peas for chicken in the traditional recipe.
Actually, seems adventurous!
I’m all in!

HOMEMADE NAANBefore you roll past this recipe without a thought — think about these things:
+ It’s easy and has so many great reviews!
There are so many ways Naan can be used –
+ Pizza – think as a mini pizza platform – little bit of pizza sauce, favorite toppings and shredded mozzarella
+ As a sandwich vessel – either as it is or squished inside a panini machine sandwiching all your favorite meats + cheese
+ Fantastic fresh side companion with soups and stews
+ Table bread with an Olive oil/herb dip
+ Scooping up marinara from a favorite pasta dish where the sauce should not be left behind

RECIPE (!)
CINNAMON ROLL POKE CAKEI was like, what in the world (?!) but so intrigued I had to read the recipe and find it worthy of a make.
I mean who doesn’t like a homemade cinnamon roll?
Raise your hand.
However, making homemade cinnamon rolls is a task for sure.
Which always makes me walk away from even considering such an endeavor.
Just don’t want a homemade (by me) cinnamon roll all that bad. haha
However, this recipe is so easy peasy with similar – very similar – results!
What a super fun cool twist.

MAN’S BEST FRIEND
I never tire of this story.
It totally makes me smile.
So the story goes …
A gentleman wrote an email to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit for vacation.
He wrote:
I would very much like to bring my dog with me.
He is well groomed and extremely well behaved.
Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?
A reply came from the hotel manager who wrote:
Sir, I’ve been operating this hotel for many years.
In all that time, I’ve never had a dog steal towels, bedding, silverware or pictures off the wall.
I’ve never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly.
And I’ve never had a dog run out on a hotel bill.
Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at our hotel.
And, if your dog will vouch for you, you’re welcome to stay here, too.

Loved everything!
Hi Carol!
I’m thinking those enchilada meatballs have got to be something extra-delish too!
So glad you enjoyed today’s read.
I enjoy reading your writing style in your comments. Love them.
Thank you!
The extraordinary photos transported me. Thanks for starting my day with awe.
Yay and agree, Laurie,
The photos were indeed mesmerizing.
I still can’t get the beautifully framed window pic looking out to the back yard with the ivy surrounding the window “frame” and the pic of the cave looking out on what’s beyond (surreal).
Thank you so much for reading and sharing and your beautiful writing style totally evident in your comments.
Happiness!
The dog/hotel story is hilarious!
Totally agree, Trent!

Daymaker caused me to experiment a bit. EASILY CLEAN CERAMIC.
For years my go to was to wet down the the kitchen or bathroom sinks with a few shakes of Ajax powder and let it set a bit, then scrub away.
Well recently I decided to break my habit and purchase COMET.
Wow, was I surprised in a mighty good way. The COMET won hands down.
Right on, Marty!
Who knew both of these old school cleaners had different cleaning powers?
I’m a Comet fan now!
Yay for Comet.
