Greetings Friends and happy Friday before Father’s day Sunday.
Happy Father’s Day to all the special men in our lives – here or gone before us.
My quick Question ANSWERS:
As kids, my sisters and I would often exclaim, “That’s not fair.” My dad always replied, “Life isn’t fair.”
And sometimes I would just be exasperated about something difficult. My dad would say, “If it was easy — everyone would be doing it.”
My Grandpa – in his later years with Parkinson’s disease – I’ll never forget – said, “If at the end of your life you can count on one hand friends who you could call in the middle of the night and say, ‘I need you.’ And that friend says, ‘Where are you? I’m on my way.'”
As opposed to friend saying, “What’s going on?”
You’ve lived a full life, Cheryl.”
Isn’t that beautiful and spot on?
Dixie says that her father, Jack, is a silent type. His eyes convey words. She could always tell by his eyes if he was disappointed or happy. ‘nough said …

My dad was a great one for the sayings: I’m in good shape for the shape I’m in; Meet you at the corner of Walk and Don’t Walk; I’m blind in one eye, can’t see out of the other; it’s six in one, half dozen in the other; Look for me when you see me. And so many more. They come up often when family gets together. Such nice memories! Great photos, guy truths and really nice music. Happy weekend!
Yay for Dad-memories of things he said and you remember! Thanks for sharing, Carol! Gratitude.
Why it’s great to be a guy is too funny! I am about to check out the music! I know it will be fabulous!
Also…Things my Dad said…when we were hurt like a scraped knee from falling and crying, my Dad would say “What are you crying about, I’ve had worse than that on my eyeball”
Hi Stacy – Yay! for Dad-talk for sure! Thanks for sharing your memories and reading. Happiness!
Fathers Day. My Dad was the greatest man I ever knew. He could stand up with the greatest and walk off with the prize. I recall as a 13 year old girl one of the employees cornering me and up to no good. I squirmed away and told exactly one person.. The next day I questioned where the family was as they lived in one of the houses on our property. The only answer I got was this. “Oh, they left in the middle of the night.”
Happy Father’s day Pappy!!! Pappy is the most selfless and generous person I know and brings joy with him everywhere he goes!! I have never known anyone to dislike this wonderfully kind man!
Jack Bostick – he may not be my dad, but he is the best Father n law to have! The most patient & giving man ever! Love you Jack!

Happy Father’s Day Pappy! (Aka Jack Bostick). Thank you for being an amazing stepfather, grandfather, loving husband to my mom, and friend to all. Your legacy of love is multiplied and carried forward by all whose lives it has touched. I love you! – Angie
I love the picture you posted of Pappy. After 41 years of doing life with him, I’ve seen that look on his face more times than I could ever count. He has made me laugh more than anyone I’ve ever known. I love you Pappy!
Happy Father’s Day, Pappy! You are the best and as others have said, the embodiment of generosity and kindness. We all love you and appreciate you!!
Happy belated Father’s Day, Daddy! I am thankful to have such a kind, gentle, warm, and hilarious Daddy! I stand by my words; if someone does not like my Daddy, something is seriously wrong with them. He has never met a stranger and has opened his home to many people and families to help them get their feet back on the ground. He raised two girls on his own until he found Gay Gay, the love of his life! I love you so much!!!
I love reading all the memories of our Daddy’s! Thank you all for sharing!
Makes my heart soar with happiness of the love that poured out on Father’s Day for your father. So very cool!
