Monday morning greetings, friends –
And greetings to the last Monday of January 2025.

Seems like January just slipped in — and is now slipping out — just like that.
Time sure does one thing without our permission:
IT. MARCHES. ON.
Presenting these fantastics I collected to share today.
BEGINNING WITH:
HAIR FREEZING CONTEST
Uhhhhh – not sure I’d ever wanna be in on this contest.
At least it happens while soaking in hot springs.
Warmth neck down – but face and hair – are fair game to the frigid temperatures!
Fun for the rest of us to view from afar.

13 THINGS WE SHOULD BE COOKING IN OUR AIR FRYER
I took special note of the Chile Rellenos.
I’m a die hard fan of Chile Rellenoes – but, but, but – not a fan of the whole frying them in a skillet thing.
NOW!
We don’t need to.
And Fresh fruit? What?
Air Fryer to the rescue!

THE HISTORY OF HOW EACH MONTH’S FULL MOON GOT ITS NAME
First of all — I’ll be honest — I really didn’t know each month’s full moon had a name until my friend, Chris, text me that the Wolf’s Moon was out in its bold beauty earlier this month.
I had no clue that a full moon has a very specific name depending on the month it presents itself.
So this little article totally intrigued me.
Perhaps, you’ll find it fascinating, as well.

WINTER HOUSEPLANT CARE HACKS
Love this!
Because I love my little green friends in cool pots around the house during the winter time and, frankly, throughout the year.
No, I haven’t gone so far as to name them.
But there’s still time. Ha!
Here’s a cool article regarding how to we can be the best stewards to our little green pals who live with us indoors.

As I understand it — Superbowl (and house parties) quickly approach.
Like February 9th?

Here we go:

Slice masterpiece sandwich loaf into 2″ slices for pick-me-up on a little napkin or small plate.

Will need to secure individual slices with a fancy tooth pick to keep the inside goodness from doing a slip and slide thing!
Yumm-o!

Crispy Waffle Fries covered in marinara, cheese, pepperoni (or whatever your favorite pizza topping may be) baked and presented for all to dig in!

TEEN RESCUER BRAVELY RIDES SCARED HORSE OUT OF BURNING CANYON
As we are all very aware of the horrific fires in southern California and while we all see the devastation of homes being burned to the ground. One of the things that might cross our minds — what about the animals?
This little video of a teen who did not know the horse and the horse did not know her. A beautiful heart rescue.
Super cool watch.
I WISH YOU ENOUGH
At an airport I overheard a father and daughter in their last moment together.
They had announced her plane’s departure and standing near the door, he said to his daughter,
“I love you. I wish you enough.”
She said, “Daddy, our life has been more than enough. Your love is all that I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Daddy.”
They kissed good-bye.
She left.
He walked over toward the window where I was seated.
Standing there, I could see that he wanted and needed to cry.
I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by saying, “Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?”
“Yes, I have,” I replied, saying that it brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all that my father had done for me. Recognizing his days were limited, I took the time to tell him face to face — how much he meant to me.
So I knew what this man was experiencing.
“Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?” I asked.
“Because I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is her next trip back will be for my funeral,” he said.
“When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, ‘I wish you enough.’ May I ask what that means?”
He began to smile.
“That’s a wish that’s been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.”
He paused for a moment, looking up, as if he were trying to remember it in detail.
He smiled even more.
“When we said, ‘I wish you enough,’ we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with good things to sustain them.”
He continued and then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memories:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough ‘hellos’ to get you through the final ‘good-bye’.

Daymaker today: “HAPPINESS IS SEEING LIFE IN ALL THE LITTLE MOMENTS.” Isn’t that the truth. Too often we see happiness measured by a big trip or event and frankly miss the many little moments of happiness offered every day. There’s dozens and dozen every single day.
Thank you too Daymaker for your feature of AIR FRYERS. I had one that sat idle for months then came a great idea: While shopping, before throwing frozen foods into my grocery cart, first look on the back of the item to see if there’s DIRECTIONS for AIR FRYING. If there is, give it a try, My first item was ONION RINGS. Wow, delicious. Frozen chicken pieces, Wow, delicious!
Also keep in mind the AIR FRYER is great for warming up left overs. And then today’s Daymaker brought forward baked potatoes and minced apples as well as a dozen more items.
I’m on it.
Love the tips on what to cook in the air fryer. I have tried alot of the foods recommended. I never thought about putting fruit in the air fryer though…I will be giving this one a shot for sure!
Loving the hairdos lol Great recipes for the air fryer and Gameday food👍🏻
I am a huge fan of air fryers and always anxious to find new ways to use it. Several things here I hadn’t considered. But sure will!
Loved “Just enough.” Wisdom to reflect on…
Great art as per usual!
Happy week!!!
