OLD FASHIONED SALISBURY STEAK RECIPE

Simple and so deliciously satisfying.

I remember way back in the day when I was full throttle working two jobs a day and I’d buy Salisbury Steak TV dinners with sides of mashed potatoes and corn and a little apple something dessert in the tray compartments for my young son, Hunter, and I.
I think it was Swanson brand.
Quick and easy.  He actually loved them.  And so did I.
I’d heat one for each of us and we licked the TV trays clean!
Ha – good time memory.

This recipe for Good Old Fashioned Salisbury Steak is a giant step up from those TV dinners from way back then.
It’s super simple to make, hearty, filling and flavorful.
Hunter, now an adult, agrees!
He now makes this Old Fashioned Salisbury Steak for his children/my grandchildren from time to time for supper satisfaction.

RUN ON AND ON

And the story goes …

The average runner sprints

Until the breath in him is gone;

But the Champion has iron will
That makes him carry on.

For rest, the average runner begs,
When limp his muscles grow.

But the Champion runs on leaden legs.

His spirit makes him go.

The average man is complacent when he does his best to score.

But the Champion does his best
And then a little more.

You ask, “What is my best way to turn around a bad day?” For me it is to take several deep breaths and then walk around our backyard a bit until I find myself getting centered. With that up pops thoughts that “It could be a whole lot worse.” Lastly, a few workable plans appear that I’m always grateful for.
