Friday Greetings, friends!
Let’s make the most of today — it’s a perfect day to start our weekend early.
I say high 5 to that kind of thinking!
Super fun 5 for Friday lineup to present today.
Beginning with Stacy’s World. Stac never fails to intrigue and offer to us a lot of cool tips and tricks.
Her column today is all about skin. (Not skin care – totally different kind of skin.)
Drive Thru Cash Machine made me laugh out loud!
I can totally see it – although, I’d like to think I AM not one of those female customers (I cannot deny or confirm – ha)
The homemade coffee creamer recipe is the bomb-a-reno.
Thanks to my sister, Jennie, who discovered this gem of a recipe — we can make-and-shake in a lidded mason jar and store in the fridge and “spike” our morning coffees – hot or cold.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS we are so grateful for your valuable time — sliding by and giving us a read + sharing + engaging.
Ready?
Set.
Here we go.
STACY’S WORLD
LET’S TALK SKIN – SKIN PRINTS THAT IS!
Hey, Hey, Hey!
Great news for all you leopard lovers out there – leopard prints are year ’round and are super trending this spring and summer. Leopard or any skin prints are extremely versatile and can be worn with most colors.
Skin prints meaning leopard, zebra, cheetah or snake skin are all hot-to-trot right now.
I am focusing on skin print skirts and pants in this column – but tops, shoes, scarves and bags are all trending.
If you choose to follow this trend — only wear one clothing item at a time of animal print. Too many pieces is over kill, Leopard Lady.
See pics 1-4 for some cute ideas from casual to dressy on how to pair your skins with other pieces in your wardrobe.
((credits for photos 1 & 2 go to Jena Green and pics 3 & 4 to Natalie Borton. Pics 5-7 are me sporting my new obsession with these new super wide legged, baggy leopard jeans.))
Like I have always said — if your bottoms are baggy, pair them with a fitted top and vice versa.
Pic 5 is an example of how pairing loose bottoms with a loose top just looks slouchy and slobbish.
I need to make my top more fitted and create a waist line.
To create this look, I gathered the front of my t-shirt together and banded it with a rubber band.
See Pic 6.
By simply tucking the front of the banded part of the t-shirt into the front part of my jeans and adding a belt creates a more fitted t-shirt and an instant waistline!
I did notice in pic 1 and pic 3 the models knotted their t-shirts to create a fitted look.
Because I chose to add a belt , I decided to tuck my t-shirt instead — because I think a knotted t-shirt and belt would look too bulky.
Pic 7 is my completed outfit.
By tucking my t-shirt instead and belting my jeans, adding some bracelets and a little necklace and my new super cool bag (gift from Cheryl btw) I have taken my outfit from slob to snob in 3 minutes. LOL
Now go and get “skinned” — grrrrrrr!
HAVE A GRRRRRREAT WEEKEND!

HOMEMADE COFFEE CREAMER
When I was in California last fall my sisters and I slid into a cool coffee joint and ordered iced coffees. My sister, Jennie, who is a coffee drink connoisseur just had to know what the sweetened creamer was that the Baristas were using, walked up to the counter where the coffee mojo was happening. She proceeded to sweet talk the baristas into giving up what their “secret” creamer recipe was. Here it is and it is fantastic if ya like a little cream and sweet in your coffee. Seriously, who doesn’t, at least every now and then?
HERE’S HOW WE MAKE IT AT HOME
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup of 1/2 & 1/2 cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 3 TBSP brown sugar (more if you like it a little sweeter)
PUT 3 INGREDIENTS
IN A MASON SIZE JAR WITH A LID
Seal lid and shake, shake, shake
Store in fridge and retrieve for a TBSP or TWO in your morning coffee
TA-DAH!
I will definately be trying that coffee creamer!
It will not disappoint.
So delish!
Appreciate ya
Stacy’s World is wonderful, as always. Love the tip about knotting her t-shirt and tucking it in. I’m thinking I could have saved some shirts that I gave away because they were too loose. . .Also love the skin prints and the cute examples she posted, especially her super-cute outfit. Thanks, Stacy.
Oh, and the ATM procedures! I’m not quite that bad, but I do often struggle to reach the cash machine. And, yes, I have had to back up more than once 😉
Don’t usually use creamer in my coffee but that recipe is just too easy not to try. Kudos to Jennie for obtaining it.
Happy weekend!
Totally in agreement regarding Stacy’s never-fails-to enlighten us ideas.
Hahaha to the ATM piece. I’m not that bad either, but I’ve had my moments.
High 5
I’m with Carol in response to Stacy’s long shirt idea. I,too, gave away a wonderful navy colored shirt that was frankly too bulky when tucked in.
Nuts, I blew it. Oh well, I’m ok,
I still have several “too long” beautiful linen shirts that I can wrap a band around and head out for the day.
I love Stacy and the whole team at Daymaker.
Onward
