SIDEYARD LANDSCAPING IDEAS, REAL LIFE INVISIBLITY SHIELD, CHARACTERS FROM OUR FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOKS VIA AI, SOLAR ECLIPSE 2024, TAMALE PIE RECIPE
Hello Friends!
How can April be here already? So crazy how time flies (as in months at a time)!
As April 1st is known to be a prank day — have you ever pranked something funny on April 1st or been pranked?
Super-duper collection to share today. (All legit – no pranks – ha!)
Beginning with:
25 SIDE YARD IDEAS
All so very beautiful. Like a cool hallway in our homes – but outside!
DECADENT ABANDONED MOSQUES IN TURKEY
Wow! The craftsmanship and artists. Abandoned. Why?
A REAL LIFE INVISIBILITY SHIELD
Is most intriguing. I love that it’s roll-and-go as opposed to a giant piece of plexiglass sort of thing that has to be carted around by a vehicle or trailer. What a great invention. I, personally, wonder if movie sets/commercials are embracing it, as well. Move over green screen.
HERE’S WHAT OUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN CHILDHOOD BOOKS LOOK LIKE IN REAL LIFE ACCORDING TO AI
To me — most of the AI “real life” depictions were what I had envisioned in my mind save — The Little Prince.
GREAT READ ON GETTING READY FOR UPCOMING APRIL 8 2024 SOLAR ECLIPSE
I seriously didn’t realize how big of a deal it’s going to be. Especially in my neck of the woods. Ordered a pair of NASA approved disposable glasses to look and watch. I’ve been told that hotels are sold out, people in the area are actually renting out their homes like a B & B for a couple of nights for a lot of dough — as in the $thousands. Crazy!
THE RECIPES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
Stellar – one and all.
THE SINGING NUNS
Is a must read/watch/listen. HANDS DOWN unforgettable and a giant heart smile.
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE STORY
Reminds me so much of my grandpa – and my grandma – and my mom – and my dad – and others I’ve had the honor to call my immediate family. Indeed, The good ol’ days when your word was your word.

THE WORLD NEEDS MORE …
The world needs more men who do not have a price at which they can be bought;
who do not borrow from integrity to pay for expediency;
who have their priorities straight and in proper order;
whose handshake is an ironclad contract;
who are not afraid of taking risks to advance what is right;
and who are honest in small matters as they are in large ones.
The world needs more men whose ambitions are big enough to include others;
who know how to win with grace and lose with dignity;
who do not believe that shrewdness and cunning and ruthlessness are the three keys to success;
who still have friends they made twenty years ago;
who put principle and consistency above politics, or personal advancement;
and who are not afraid to go against the grain of popular opinion.
The world needs more men who do not forsake what is right just to get consensus because it makes them look good;
who know how important it is to lead by example, not by barking orders;
who would not have you do something they would not do themselves;
who work to turn even the most adverse circumstances into opportunities to learn and improve themselves;
and who love even those who have done some injustice or unfairness to them.
The world, in other words, needs more true leaders.
A tribute to Joseph P Overton who passed away in 2003 … far too soon
I love the world needs more ..❤️
Yep, me too, J.
The World Needs More … is a grand piece that is thought-ful.
Appreciate ya reading and sharing.
As always a bang up job Daymaker. To comment on April 1 side yard ideas. I’m going to ask my grandson if he would please build two narrow flower boxes on stilts in this mostly shaded side yard? Why stilts? so that I can see them easily from my computer room window. There I can grow 3-4 low light cooking herbs plus a few mints in the first DEEPER box. The second box will have very low sides boards which will become my ICU unit for struggling overheated smaller flowering size pots. A week in ICU and the pots are ready to return to be tucked in with the larger plants in the garden. Suggestion to grandson. Each box size. Roughly 18 inches wide, 48 inches long, with a height of 40 inches. The two will lean up against a wooden fence for stability. Now for the bribery food for grandson.
Love that idea for the narrow flower boxes on stilts! For herbs + plant ICU.
Sounds like you whipped together a solid building plan to present to your grandson already. Green Thumbs up!
Thank ya!
