DEAR ANNIE
BY ANNIE LANE

FROM HUGS TO FIST BUMPS

Dear Annie:

I have one grandson who has never cared for hugging.  So a few years ago, he and I came up with our own special fist bump.  After the “bump” we touch the tips of our index and pinky fingers.  This puts our hands in the same position as “I love you” in sign language.  He is now 12.    ~ Special Fist Bump

Dear Fist Bump:

Thank you for your suggestion.  I love that you were able to connect with him in a way that felt safe and good for him.

Wow! What an information-packed issue! Basil being my favorite herb I was especially interested in the tomato-basil plant pairings as well as tomato-basil on the plate. And the artist – I so admire anyone with an imagination like that. And Mount Rushmore, and the lonely goose, and the bacon hack. And cauliflower tacos – a vegetarian’s dream. And so on. Great issue. As usual!!!

      Right on, Carol –

      Thank you, cheerleader!

Me being from a neighbouring state – Montana to South Dakota – we did travel to see Mount Rushmore at one time. It was awesome.

Need to go back now that I’m an adult and fully appreciate the marvelousness of it.

As a kid – … you know Ha

I love basil. And that tomato plants love the companion planting? IN!

Thank you for your comments and checking out the episode today – the clicks are so much fun and informative … I love finding them and I love that you enjoyed them as well.
