Greetings!
Welcome to Monday’s Top of The Morning Episode —
Party full-of-fun collected today to share!
Beginning with Art Illustration of Mardi Gras – totally embraces the frolic and fun that’s happening there now + an in-the-know of what exactly Mardi Gras is to all of us “outsiders” ha
I’ve been to the Big Easy and/or Crescent City numerous times
Most well known as New Orleans for work — not vacation. Ha
What a magic-filled city full of pride, unique history and cool people, joy and fun.
7 Thrifting Trends for 2024
Thrifters start looking for treasures to grab and bring home!
WHAT’S REALLY IN VELVEETA
I found this little read quite fascinating. I always thought Velveeta was some kind of weird-engineered-orange- slab
Think Velveeta and Rotel tomato Dip – no questions asked! Just so iconic delicious! One chip after another!
Upon reading this — new kinda respect.
BOILED PEANUTS
Hello! Best flavorful way to boil peanuts in the shell — dry peanuts and sack up in old school brown paper lunch bags to share or gift. A memorable brown sack bag of a treat.
WOLF OF THE WILD DOG VIA ZODIAC SIGNS
Check your wild dog sign via your birth month and see what ya think.
RECIPES ARE ALL GREAT FINDS !!
Baked Spinach Balls – I’m thinking on a bed of cooked pasta with marinara sauce, on a sandwich with melted provolone cheese or with a fork one-by-one. Yum!
Chicken Pozole Verde Soup – surprised me. Admittedly, I’ve not ever had hominy outta the can because I didn’t realize it is what it is. This recipe artist describes it perfectly. I’m gonna give hominy a new run in my world.
Garlic Cheese Stuffed Rolls – ‘nough said! Especially when they can be made by popping open a can of crescent rolls instead of doing the made-from-scratch bread dough.
Creative Compound Butters – Wow! My nephew, TJ, uses these butters with so many recipes like eggs in the morning to burgers to steaks to baked potatoes. Unforgettable – is what your taste buds will say. Double pinky swear!
Nutella Beignets – while we’re all visiting the whole New Orleans and Mardi Gras scene today, how about trying these babies out to wow and pow!
Homemade Au Jus recipe to keep in the pantry for grab and whisk for gravy, french dip sandwiches and whatever strikes your fancy.
RANDOM GUY APPROACHING PEOPLE ON THE STREET TO ASK THEIR BEST DANCE MOVES
Is so happy and full of joy-joy-joy. It certainly will linger with you all day long and add a little pep in your step!
THANKS SO MUCH ALL FOR POPPING BY TODAY AND GIVING US A READ
FYI – there had been a hiccup in Friday’s Episode and on Daymaker Readable Art site where the Comment option was somehow deleted. Not sure how that happened but I have been on the phone today with Web Developers and they are working to restore. Hopefully, by tomorrow morning when this posts — it will be restored. If not, by Wednesday. Stand by and we thank you for your patience.

Totally agree with the thrift store tips! I have a great collection of vintage candlestick holders…all from thrift stores!
Hi Stacy -fist bump to Thrift Store treasure finds – for sure!
I was practically raised on Velveeta Cheese but somewhere along the way was persuaded that it was filled with chemicals that were TERRIBLE for you and gave it up. Haven’t tasted it in years. However, now knowing that isn’t true I’m putting Rotel Cheese Dip back on the menu. And who knows what other Velveeta delicacies might get a second chance. Yay!
Loved the thrift store tips and the history and pageantry of Mardi Gras. I have a brother in New Orleans and on one of our visits we went to Gretna and discovered that the floats are stored there in the “off season.” Fun find!
Oh, and the happy dancing! It was fun to see people of all ages catch the spirit and participate. Made me smile!
“NEVER IGNORE YOUR ROOTS, YOUR HOME OR YOUR HAIR.” Dolly Parton – Who doesn’t get a kick out of Dolly Parton? Country singer, song-writer, actress and philanthropist. When she’s no longer on planet earth we will miss her joyful spirit and kindness to many. I see Dolly is 78 years old, born 1946. She remains married to the same husband since age 20. Her most popular song was 9 to 5. Oh shoot, now I’ll be singing a few lines of that the rest of the day.
