CICADAS, SMALL BACKYARD LIVING SPACE IDEAS, BLAST FROM THE PAST PICTURES OF HAPPINESS, OFFER TO A BABYSITTER TO EARN A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY WHILE ON SHIFT,6 FABULOUS RECIPES, A REMINDER STORY OF TODAY

Monday greetings magnificent readers!

How was your weekend?  All good here – save the part where I had to snap my self outta the spring-like temps and drip the faucets again and prepare for some more frigid temps – as in 26 degrees over night, two nights in a row.  Brrrrr!!!

Super fun Monday collection to share today –

First up is CICADAS ARE COMING but with dual emergence.  Is this the part where we might say YIKES!?
Being from Montana – we didn’t have Cicadas – however, now living in the land of Texas I’ve always enjoyed their rhythmic sound.  To me, it’s “the sound of summer.”

BACKYARD SMALL PATIO IDEAS are pretty darn outstanding.  And should a project like this be on your home to-do bucket list – now’s a perfect time to start planning ahead before summer’s furnace is full throttle.  Cool ideas to choose + create an outdoor living space just for you and yours.

Totally love SMART MOM’S LIST OF ADD-ON CHORES for babysitter to make a little extra dough while the kids are sleeping and waiting for the parents to come home.  Back in the day when I was babysitting – I would have taken smart mom up on her list and accomplished all on the list for $.  Brilliant idea smart mom.

TIMELESS CUTENESS is just that and more — timeless beauties that brought to me smile-smile-smile.  Whole lotta joy in the captured pieces of another time, another place of others.   Hope you have a few minutes to give them a scroll-through.

RECIPES!
I think all are absolutely gold star winners studying them.  I, personally, am going to make the Pepperoni Chickpea Tortilla Pizzas first.  Intrigues me!  And then going down the list – Garlic Rice?  yes!.  Slow Cooker French Onion Soup (I gotta master this one as French Onion Soup is my mom’s fav – I’ll surprise her one day),  GARLIC BUTTER CHICKEN MEATBALL STUFFED SPAGHETTI SQUASH looks so delish.  And I’m totally thinking a big ol’ wedge salad to drizzle on the ROASTED PARMESAN GARLIC DRESSINGHello chunk o’ lettuce for lunch or dinner.  And last – but not least – the EASY PUMPKIN CARAMEL MONKEY BREAD – ‘nough said there.  ha

12 FUNNIEST SUPER BOWL ADS OF ALL TIME had me rolling.  Greatness!

TODAY STORY is so relevant today, yesterday and tomorrow.  I’m taking notes and gonna try and follow the story’s message.

TODAY

Today I will delete from my diary two days: yesterday and tomorrow.

Yesterday was to learn and tomorrow will be the consequence of what I can do today.

Today I will face life with the conviction that this day will not ever return.

Today may be the last opportunity I have to live intensely, as no one can assure me that I will see tomorrow’s sunrise.

Today I will invest my most valuable resource:  my time, in the most transcendental work – my life.

I will spend each minute passionately to make of today a different and unique day in my life.

Today I will defy every obstacle that appears on my way trusting that I will succeed.

Today I will resist pessimism and will conquer the world with a smile, with a positive attitude, expecting always the best.

Today I will make of every ordinary task a sublime expression.

Today I will have my feet on the ground understanding reality and the stars’ gaze to invent my future.

Today I will take the time to be happy and will leave my footprints and my presence in the hearts of others.

Today, I invite you to begin a new season where we can dream that everything we undertake is possible and we fulfiill it, with joy and dignity.

Really cool backyard ideas. I was particularly intrigued by the vertical garden, the bistro dining and the herbs in colorful pots. But all the ideas are creative and brilliant. Hmmm. Where shall I start with our patio. . .

My eye is on the “Simple Backyard Garden” ideas in today’s Daymaker. I’m buying the 20 pots, maybe dollar store has them, and spray painting them with 4 colors of our left over spray paint. Then I’m heading to the back of our hillside property which is about the length of a football field. I will hang the pots similar to those in Daymaker. Now for the plants! It’s called ARTIFICIAL as there’s too much afternoon sun to think a plant could thrive. Tah- dah… Project complete. Thanks Daymaker.
