STACY’S WORLD
FUN DECORATING IDEAS

Hi There!

Is Easter really 3 weeks away … where does the time go?

I want to share with you all today three easy, cute and inexpensive decorating ideas.
With Easter being right around the corner — the first thing I love is the Easter flower arrangement.

SEE PIC #1 and #2

Just fill a clear glass vase with water, fill it with carrots (leaving the greenery on top – trimming off any damaged pieces) and add flowers.

I especially like the arrangement with the baby’s breath sprigs.  Baby’s breath lasts a long time when kept in water.  And you can always buy a bundle at your local florist.

I might even consider purchasing artificial baby’s breath.  It looks real and you can save it for a future craft project.

SEE PIC #3

This is such a cool idea!
Take a flower pot and paint it with Rust-Oleum glow-in-the-dark paint.
*more about the paint here **

I will definitely be adding these glow in the dark pots to my deck this spring!

Check out this funky rock dragonfly

SEE PIC #4.

I have the perfect spot for one of these beauties in my front yard flowerbed.
This is such a great idea to fill in a blank space in your garden.

A lot of nurseries sell rocks where you can pick the perfect rocks for your rock art design.

I, personally, want to take a rock hunting hike and find my own special rocks.
Of course, the hubby will need to tag-a-long to carry my rock bag.
He will just love being the rock hauling guy haha

BIG HUGS!
HAPPY WEEKEND

MARCEL’S RACE HORSE
BY JERRY CLOWER

Marcel Ledbetter’s done got him a race horse.  He bought it making money hauling pulpwood.
Got plumb excited racing the horse.  Marcel come to see me, and I went to see the horse.  It didn’t look bad.

Marcel called me the other day and said, “Jerry, we’re gonna race our horse this oncoming Saturday at Ferriday, Louisiana.  We want you to come.”

I couldn’t get there, but Sunday morning bright and early I called Marcel Ledbetter.  I said, “Marcel, did your racehorse win?”

He said, “Nah, but it took six of them to whip him.”

Love Stacy’s ideas for the carrot arrangements! Either would look stunning on an Easter table or sideboard. Hmmm… And the glow in the dark flower pots! Great for a dark patio or to illumine a walkway. Or just to look pretty. Decorative rocks – wow! The ideas just keep coming! Thanks, Stacy.

I had to pause when I saw the caption for “blue sauce” but after realizing it uses blue cheese – I’m all in!

Fun read. I too am grateful the astronauts made it home safely. Here’s hoping they quickly assimilate back into their earthly lives.

    Happy weekend!

Loved Daymaker’s ideas. I’m with Stacy, I love searching for special rocks while walking my little dog Winston Churchill . After seeing Stacy’s rock arrangement of a dragonfly that’s exactly what I want for my front entry rose garden. It likely will take numerous walks to get just the right pieces but it’s all obtainable because Winston Churchill makes me take him for a walk EVERY day! — Now to the Blue Cheese Sauce for my hamburger steaks which I find get dry rather quickly. The recipe at my first seemed a bit time consuming however 2nd and 3rd read through the recipe brought it clarity and very easy to make. I generally have the ingredients on hand so “I’m on the case.” Thanks Daymaker’s team.

  4. Laurie says:

I love the carrots anchoring a flower arrangement idea. I often put cranberries at the bottom of vases during the holidays, and pebbles during spring, but carrots? Fresh idea! Also, the Blue Cheese sauce is going in the sides to meat line-up. Hippie Cowboy recipes have a solid presence in my “what to make next” recipe files!

    • Cheryl Clarson says:
