Howdy all!  Happy day before official Independence Day 2024! It's hot here!  But such is this time of year.  I run across people who seem to think this heat thing unusual.  I disagree. I'd be shocked if temps were in the 70's or 80's.  Just won't happen.  Never has as I recall.  Summer heat is on full throttle.  Gotta deal with it until Fall.  I remind myself to hydrate and find shade or air conditioning when possible and just deal with it.  No brainer, right?  Ha PRESENTING JULY 3rd WEDNESDAY READER: LESLIE ELMAN'S TRIVIA AND FASCINATING FACTS Are so interesting to me.  Frankly, super fascinating. EASY BUTTERMILK PIE RECIPE Slice of delish.  I like to top my slice of buttermilk pie with bananas.  But strawberries and peaches are stellar as well. Don't forget the fresh whipped cream.  Deal breaker if you don't (unless you just dislike fresh whipped cream - that would be absolutely crazy talk to me - ha!)

Hello Wednesday and Hello Daymakers! Presenting Wednesday Reader this fine day of May 8. Pretty sure you'll love the read today as much as I do/did putting it together: LESLIE ELMAN'S TRIVIA Is so fascinating and I always feel smarter reading her pieces.  Whoever heard the word "Kleptoparasite"?  Raise your hand if you have.  Not me.  But I do now and I might pull the word out from time to time just to see people's brows do a brow question mark thing.  Ha! QUICK QUESTION How many animal sounds can I make?  I actually started making the sounds to count and my cats awoke from their catnaps, at full attention, gathering around to see if I'd gone C-R-A-Z-Y.   They amuse me and from time to time I try and amuse them. I counted 8.  How about you? OUTTA THE MOUTHS OF BABES Is beauty-full.  I don't even have a favorite take away.  All are heartbeats of awwwwww. HERB SHRIMP ON THE BARBIE Is an absolute must make.  I'm not even going to go on and on about it.  Just gotta trust me.  Once you make it - you'll be a diehard fan all summer long!  This summer - next summer - and all summers forward!  Get ready for people to ask for the recipe because it's gonna happen.

Presenting Wednesday's  Reader on this 3rd day of April.  How's April rolling in for you?  Good here.  We had some heavy April showers yesterday which my trees and grass (and weeds - ha) were grateful for = me, too. Cool + fun + interesting line up today. Beginning with: LESLIE ELMAN'S POP QUIZ I had to refer to good ol' Google for the pronunciation of the word Qaanaaq in question #1 because I'd never seen the word before and it totally intrigued me.  Here's how it's pronounced if you, too, are intrigued *click* QUICK QUESTION What's the most monotonous sport to watch for me?  BOWLING! And Golf follows at a very close 2nd and then Tennis absolutely is #3.  All fun to play/do -- but being a spectator is a different ball game sort of thing.  You? Greetings Wednesday Readers - How's your week going?  Fine and dandy around here.  It's raining but temps are high enough that it remains water and not ice.  I'm cool with that! Another great Wednesday line-up today.  Beginning with: WHAT'S THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND WHEN I HEAR THE WORD "FIDGET" Someone (including me) who unconsciously taps a finger or two on a table or counter top.  You? WordPerfect CUSTOMER SUPPORT READ IS AMUSING The phone conversation "speaks for itself "  Read and enjoy a chuckle or two. If you might wonder do I seriously have email threads from 20 years ago? Yes, I do.  I have envelopes and envelopes packed full of printed out greatness material.  I've no idea why I printed out and saved all these pieces of great fun/information way back then - but I did - and I'm so glad I did. MOOD RINGS I totally had one and sported it for a short period of time in my younger days.  They were sooooo popular and kinda cool to watch the changing of colors.  Not sure what made them "change" colors but they sure did and I'm also pretty sure it had zip to do with my particular mood.  Just an interesting gimmick sort of thing that I was all in on.  You? I'll also add a note here that I did not buy into the gimmick of the Pet Rock thing. If someone were to have given me one -- I'd probably study it and ponder if it was worthy of being a rock I could "skip" across a pond or lake.  I'm thinking not, based on the ones I saw.  I think they were sinkers.  Ha! EPIC ITALIAN MEATBALL RECIPE Is, indeed, EPIC.  Baked or Smoked on a grill.  On noodles, tucked in a sandwich of fresh bread with melted Provolone or Mozzarella, Appetizers.  Give it a try.  I'd be shocked if you are disappointed.
