Happy November!

Welcome falling leaves, sweaters, delicious smells happening in the kitchen on the stove and in the oven.  Shorter (feeling) days with the daylight pretty much gone around here by 6 pm.

Here’s this Wednesday’s Read.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed assembling it.

Have a great day and rest of your week and as always, grateful that you’re here.

Happy Halloween friends!
I recall this adorable, hilarious story about my granddaughter, Elizabeth, from several years ago.  It was going to be her first trick-or-treating experience so in preparation, she went around the inside of their home and knocked on closed doors to practice her Trick-or-Treat action!

5 for Friday | October 21

I talked to Hunter, my son, in Montana. Snow came early this year. As in a couple of days ago. It didn’t last for long. But it fell. Just a warm up for what’s gonna happen the rest of the long winter there! I remember it, dealt with it, didn’t mind it, sure don’t miss it. Ha!

The daily and nightly temperatures here are in decline and for sure snuggling in for a nice winter’s nap. Meaning getting chillier.

I remember as a kid in Montana, could just about bet the first snow was Halloween. How do I remember? Inevitably, we had to wear winter coats over our costumes to keep warm as we ran from house to house with crazy joy and glee

Greetings delightful friends.
Halloween’s just around the corner.  I always enjoyed the darling little kids trick-or-treating in costumes.  Running from house to house, laughing and remembering to say, “Thank you,” as they watched the handful of candy slide into their vessel of choice for the night’s haul.
Halloween is definitely one of the big top 3 in a child’s world: Christmas, Halloween, Birthday.

5 for Friday | October 7

Hey, Hey!  Happy Friday.  Hope you had a terrific week.  I’ve been doing a lot of “leaf control” around here.  Raking them, sweeping them and scooping them out of the pool.

I remember when we first bought this house 28 years ago, we loved all of the trees.  The realtor was not in love with trees.  I asked him why.  And he said, “Leaves in the fall!  There will be a lot.”

Indeed, there are a lot, but it’s so worth the trade off of not having trees at all.  If only leaves were worth money … I’d be sipping a drink with an umbrella in it on my own private island.  Ha!

I picked out a cool pumpkin with a long stem for dining room table decoration.  Really great part is  it gets to stay until Thanksgiving.  It’s not for carving.  Just going to let it naturally be the beautiful, original piece that it is.

Greetings Readers and friends.  And Hello October – all month Halloween fun!  I so enjoy watching the Halloween yard decorations happening in the neighborhood where I walk my 3 miles most every day.  These homes are totally decked out – each with its own unique personality.

It’s fun to spot when a new little something has been added to the mix from last year.

Greetings outstanding readers.
I stumbled across a thought someone wrote this week that stated, “The most completely lost of all days is the one in which we have not laughed.”
I totally agree!  Laughter is the best medicine.
Here are the 12 for this Monday.  There are laughs tucked into the line up.  Enjoy!  And keep on laughing!
